Job summary

The Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT in Darwin is seeking an experienced Team Leader for the Operations Coordination Centre. You will lead the OCC team on shift, coach and support Operations Coordinators, and ensure services are delivered efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.

Your leadership will drive performance, rostering, after-hours on-call support, and strong stakeholder engagement across internal and external partners, with a focus on safety, resilience and continuous

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency services and/or aviation coordination, communications and logistics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the OCC team, building a highly engaged and high-performing culture.
• Provide leadership, guidance and operational support to Operations Coordinators, particularly during periods of high or complex workloads.
• Monitor operational performance and actively manage key performance indicators and response times.
• Ensure the team has procedures, resources and skills required to perform effectively and efficiently.
• Prepare and manage OCC rosters and provide after-hours operational on-call support.
• Build strong and collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support effective service delivery.
• Promote innovation, continuous improvement and positive organisational change.
• Maintain currency within the Operations Coordinator function, including providing roster relief when required.
