Job summary

Proofpoint, a global cybersecurity leader, is seeking a motivated Marketing Business Development professional to generate qualified opportunities for our Sales Teams. You will work with the regional sales and marketing teams to drive inbound and outbound activity and build ABM programs for the ANZ market.

Based in Sydney, you will gather intelligence on assigned accounts, connect influencers and decision makers with the sales team, and execute an account-based strategy in collaboration with

Qualifications

• 3+ years of business development experience in the technology sector, ideally cybersecurity.
• Experience developing new relationships via cold-calling and email prospecting.
• Goal-driven with strong attention to detail and a competitive mindset.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions is a plus.
• Excellent phone and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and develop inbound and outbound leads and respond to product inquiries.
• Engage prospects through research and meaningful conversations to generate new leads.
• Follow up on marketing-generated leads and convert interest into sales opportunities.
• Manage email campaigns to generate new prospects.
• Manage cold-calling campaigns to generate new sales prospects.
• Schedule demonstrations between Sales team members and potential customers.
• Accurate tracking of communications with current and potential customers in Salesforce.com.
