Job summary

Proofpoint in Sydney, Australia is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Business Development professional to generate qualified opportunities for our Sales Teams. You will work with regional sales and marketing to drive both inbound and outbound leads.

You will gather intelligence on assigned accounts and connect our sales team with influencers and decision makers, developing an account-based sales strategy for the ANZ market.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of business development experience in the technology sector, ideally focused on cybersecurity.
• Experience developing new relationships via cold-calling and email prospecting.
• Experience in a goal-driven environment.
• Highly motivated with a competitive mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions is a plus.
• Experience with Salesforce.com, Outreach and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.
• Excellent phone and interpersonal communication skills and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and develop inbound and outbound sales accepted leads and respond to product inquiries, and nurture those prospects as assigned.
• Utilise research and planning to engage and acquire new leads.
• Follow-up on all leads generated by marketing and convert initial interest into sales accepted leads.
• Manage email campaigns to generate new sales prospects.
• Manage cold-calling campaigns to generate new sales prospects.
• Track communication with current and potential customers in Salesforce.com.
• Schedule demonstrations between Sales team members and potential customers.
