Job description

Monday–Friday | 8am–4pm | Full-Time

Are you someone who can turn a difficult customer conversation into a positive outcome?

We're recruiting an experienced Customer Service Officer for an established Australian business specialising in consumer products sector, with a national customer base.

This isn't your typical customer service position. We're looking for someone who can think on their feet, confidently handle complaints, solve problems and manage customer expectations, all while maintaining a professional and approachable manner.

You’ll be joining a busy office environment where no two days are quite the same.

The Role

Working closely with the business owner, you’ll be responsible for managing customer enquiries, complaints and after-sales matters, along with ensuring customer orders are accurate and updated when required.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing customer aftersales enquiries via phone and email.
  • Investigating concerns, negotiating solutions and resolving issues professionally.
  • Managing challenging conversations and de-escalating difficult situations.
  • Providing clear information regarding products, orders and company policies.
  • Reviewing and amending customer orders, ensuring all details are accurate.
  • Coordinating with internal teams regarding customer requirements and resolutions.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and correspondence.
  • Assisting with general administration when required.
About You

We're looking for someone who is confident, resilient and enjoys problem-solving.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in customer service, complaints handling or customer resolutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The confidence to manage difficult conversations without taking things personally.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good computer and administration skills.
  • The ability to work independently and use sound judgement.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Most importantly, you need to be someone who can remain calm under pressure, exercise common sense and know when to stand firm and when to find a compromise.

What’s on Offer?
  • $65,000 base salary plus bonus opportunity.
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • Ideally 8am–4pm, with no weekend work.
  • An established Australian business with a national customer base.
  • A varied position combining customer resolutions and administration.
  • The opportunity to work closely with the business owner and make a genuine difference to the customer experience.
  • This is not a call centre environment, it is a busy offfice setting.

If you’re an experienced customer service professional who enjoys solving problems and can confidently handle challenging situations, we’d love to hear from you.
