H People in Caloundra, on the Sunshine Coast, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join a busy distribution team. You will help customers with enquiries, process orders and assist with behind-the-scenes operations to keep things running smoothly.

This role isn’t a typical call centre. You’ll work with local builders and trade customers, juggling priorities and rolling up your sleeves when needed. A great team environment awaits and there is potential for permanent advancement.

Formación

• Previous experience in customer service or sales support
• Confident on the phone with customers
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

• Experience in steel/building materials is advantageous but not essential

Could you be the next Customer Service Representative to join us?

We're looking for a switched-on, personable and organised Customer Service Representative to join an established steel supplier based in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. You'll be an important part of a busy distribution team, helping customers with enquiries, processing orders and ensuring things run smoothly behind the scenes.

This isn't your typical call centre role. You'll be dealing with local builders, concreters and trade customers, where no two days are quite the same. If you enjoy working with people, know how to juggle competing priorities and aren't afraid to roll your sleeves up when needed, we'd love to hear from you.

What will you be doing?

Working closely with the branch team, you'll help keep customers happy and orders moving.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Handling incoming calls, emails and customer enquiries
• Assisting trade customers with product enquiries, orders and general support
• Processing sales orders and keeping information accurate across internal systems
• Liaising with the warehouse and distribution team to coordinate customer requirements
• Managing competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
• Following up on orders and resolving customer issues professionally
• Assisting with occasional stock picking, counting or general warehouse duties where required

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who enjoys being busy, takes ownership of their work and knows how to provide great service, even when things get a little hectic. Ideally, you'll bring:

• Previous experience in customer service, sales support, trade counter sales or a similar role
• Confidence on the phone with customers
• Confidence using computers, particularly Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Clear communication skills and a friendly, professional approach
• The confidence to handle challenging conversations and find practical solutions
• A reliable attitude, initiative and willingness to help the wider team

Experience in steel, building materials, construction supplies or industrial distribution would be a great advantage, although it's not essential. Experience using Pronto would be a bonus, but we're equally interested in people who are quick to learn new systems.

Above all, we're looking for someone with a good head on their shoulders, a bit of resilience and a genuine willingness to get stuck in.
