Job summary

City of Ryde is seeking a Customer Service Officer for Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre. You will be the first point of contact, handling phone, email, and front desk inquiries while processing forms and POS transactions.

You will support swim school administration, enforce safety rules, resolve patron concerns, and help maintain a welcoming, efficient centre. Hybrid work arrangements may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Certificate or equivalent is required or demonstrated experience in customer service.
• Experience handling telephone, emailed and face-to-face inquiries.
• Experience with cash handling and using PC-based technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons visiting Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre.
• Handle inquiries, memberships, bookings, program registrations, and payments.
• Assist with swim school enrolments and administration.
• Enforce safety regulations and rules to maintain a secure environment.
• Address patron concerns or complaints promptly and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the retail shop, reception and other areas.
• Perform administrative tasks including inventory management, event coordination, and swim school absences under supervision.
• Act as a liaison between patrons and management, communicating feedback and concerns.
