Job summary

Komatsu Mining Technologies is seeking a Technical Services Specialist to support surface crushing and underground loading product lines with expert product knowledge, practical technical advice and solutions that improve machine performance across mining, quarrying and related industries.

You will diagnose challenges, propose practical solutions, and collaborate with customers, account teams and service operations. Travel within Australia, NZ, New Caledonia and PNG is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Diesel fitter trade qualification required.
• Strong knowledge of surface crushing machines and applications.
• Experience as a technical specialist, product support, service, or technical sales in mining/quarrying/heavy industry.
• Ability to interpret crushing process challenges, wear, reliability, availability and life‑of‑cycle costs.
• Commercial mindset with ability to support sales targets, margins and forecasts.
• Confident communication with stakeholders across operations, maintenance, reliability, procurement and commercial.
• Proactive in identifying repair, rebuild, service, parts, manufacturing and performance improvement opportunities.
• Collaborative, with ability to work with sales, marketing, account management, service and technical support teams.
• Willingness to travel within Australia, NZ, New Caledonia and PNG.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical support and product knowledge across Komatsu surface crushing and underground loading machines, wear parts, rebuilds, repairs, service and performance optimisation.
• Identify customer needs, diagnose equipment and process challenges, and recommend practical solutions that improve reliability, availability and throughput.
• Develop technical strategies, account plans and margin growth opportunities for equipment solutions to support sales targets.
• Proactively identify repair, rebuild, service, parts, manufacturing and performance‑enhancement opportunities within existing and new accounts.
• Build trusted relationships with operations, maintenance, reliability, procurement and senior management stakeholders.
