Job summary

Weir Group in Australia seeks a qualified engineer to support surface and underground mining attachments, including GET, with strong technical training and stakeholder engagement. Travel to mining sites will be required, primarily in Western Australia and other regions as needed.

You will own product specs, prepare technical and tender documentation, and collaborate with global teams on launches and trials. A structured, safety-focused team culture is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in mining equipment operation or modelling with GET expertise.
• Ability to deliver technical training and communicate with stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Salesforce, PLM (Agile), Power BI, MS Project and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical resource for GET products and provide guidance to meet customer requirements; travel to sites as needed.
• Own and maintain product specifications, documentation, and sales support materials; collaborate on launches and trials.
• Prepare technical and commercial quotations, sizing calculations, and tender submissions.
• Serve as liaison between sales, engineering, product management and customers; deliver trainings and demonstrations.
• Coordinate warranty claims and quality improvement actions; maintain records and safety standards.
• Facilitate cross-functional coordination across Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance and fabrication partners.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety and zero-harm culture.
