Job summary

Bidwell Enterprises Pty Ltd in Diwan, QLD, is seeking an experienced Chef for a casual position. You will create high-quality dishes, lead kitchen operations and uphold exceptional food preparation and presentation to delight guests in a dynamic hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Chef in a professional hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards.
• Current Food Safety Supervisor or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent time management and ability to work efficiently during peak service.
• Attention to detail with high standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications.
• Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Manage kitchen inventory, monitor stock levels and replenishment.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with management to develop and refine menu offerings based on seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
• Ensure all dishes are plated and presented to the highest standards before service.
• Monitor food costs and minimise waste whilst maintaining portions and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment at all times.
• Respond to special dietary requirements and customization requests from guests.
