Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cooking or equivalent.
• Food Handlers Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Chef.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to perform efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and menu specifications.
• Assist in planning, developing and updating seasonal menus and daily specials.
• Monitor portion control and food preparation procedures to minimise waste and maximise profitability.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards, HACCP principles, and Workplace Health and Safety WHS regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
• Oversee food storage and stock rotation.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is operated safely, maintained correctly and reported for repair when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records relating to food safety, temperature control, cleaning schedules and stock management.
• Respond promptly to customer dietary requirements, allergies and special requests.
• Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented workplace culture.
