Job summary

Capital Transport and Logistics Group Pty Ltd is seeking a Dispatch Officer in Sydney to coordinate daily subcontractor runs, plan routes for efficiency and liaise with clients to ensure on-time deliveries. You will report to the Operations Manager and work within group policies and operations manuals.

You will travel within the metropolitan area frequently, prioritise safety, and maintain clear communications to keep customers informed of any variances or delays in delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Schedule sub-contractors' daily runs based on the most efficient route.
• Liaise between the client and the sub-contractor to ensure deliveries are completed on time.
• Keep customers informed of variables or delays with their delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety legislation as it relates to sub-contractors and service provision.

Position Summary

As a Dispatch Officer, you will report directly to the Operations Manager/Supervisor and indirectly to the Contracts Manager. You are responsible for scheduling the sub-contractors' daily runs based on the most efficient route, and liaising between the client and the sub-contractor to ensure all deliveries are completed within the agreed timeframes. You must ensure customers are kept informed of any variables or delay with their delivery.

It is imperative that you are highly proficient in all Contract client delivery processes and requirements, as well as acutely aware of Work Health and Safety legislation and how it relates to our sub-contractors and service provision.
