Job summary

Capital Transport is seeking a junior Dispatch Officer to join our NSW Contracts Division in Sydney. You will receive full training across daily allocation and management of our vehicles, supporting a fast-growing team in a large, privately-owned courier and taxi truck business.

Based at our Sydney Depot in Kemps Creek, you will help allocate work, communicate with contractors and clients, and ensure timely and accurate bookings. No prior experience is required; fresh graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Calm and professional telephone manner.
• Data entry skills at a good pace with accuracy.
• Self-motivated and well disciplined.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
• Reliable and punctual with a proactive attitude.
• No experience required as this is a junior role; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Allocating work to contractors ensuring service parameters are consistently met
• Effectively communicating with colleagues and sub-contractors
• Ensuring that all written and verbal communication with clients, colleagues & sub-contractors is always professional and courteous
• Ensuring that client expectations are met in terms of time and quality in the delivery of our services
• Being aware of OH&S requirements and responsibilities, training will be provided
• Inbound and outbound customer service/query calls
• Processing of client bookings via phone and email
• Immediate response to emails concerning delivery updates, proof of delivery requests or any other queries
• Providing assistance/ additional information as required to our sub-contractor drivers

An opportunity exists within our NSW Contracts Division for a Dispatch Officer. You will receive full training and development across daily allocation and management of our vehicles.

Operating our Sydney Depot location in Kemps Creek we provide client focused transport services, complemented by industry leading technology. The successful applicant of this permanent full-time position will work as part of an energetic team to maintain, improve and grow the service of our current and future customer base.
