Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council is seeking a Change Specialist to coordinate change management activities across technology and business improvement projects. You will develop communication, training and stakeholder engagement plans to support adoption of new systems and processes.

The role focuses on assessing impacts on people, processes and culture, and guiding leaders and teams through transition with a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualifications in Information Technology, Change Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Experience driving change within a complex organisation.
• Experience supporting change initiatives associated with software implementations or technology projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver customer-focused outcomes.
• Experience managing competing priorities and multiple project deliverables.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience applying recognised change management methodologies and frameworks.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and achieve outcomes in a project environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate change management activities across technology and business improvement projects.
• Develop and deliver communication, training and stakeholder engagement plans.
• Assess the impacts of change on people, processes, systems and culture.
• Work closely with project managers and key stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.
• Coach and support leaders and employees through periods of change.
• Identify risks, barriers and opportunities associated with change initiatives.
• Support organisational readiness and adoption activities across multiple projects.
• Build strong working relationships that promote collaboration and successful change outcomes.
