Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council is seeking a Change Specialist to help deliver meaningful change across the organisation. You will work with project managers, business analysts and technical teams to plan and implement change management activities that ensure new systems, processes and ways of working are understood and adopted.

You’ll identify change impacts, engage stakeholders, prepare communications and training, and support leaders and teams through transition.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualifications in Information Technology, Change Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting change initiatives with software implementations or technology projects.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate change management activities across technology and business improvement projects.
• Develop and deliver communication, training and stakeholder engagement plans.
• Assess impacts of change on people, processes, systems and culture.
• Support project outcomes with project managers and key stakeholders.
• Coach and support leaders and employees through periods of change.
• Identify risks, barriers and opportunities linked to change initiatives.
• Support organisational readiness and adoption across multiple projects.
• Build strong working relationships to promote collaboration and successful change outcomes.

This is anexciting opportunity to help deliver meaningful change across Lake MacquarieCity Council.
As a ChangeSpecialist, you'll work closely with project managers, business analysts,subject matter experts and technical teams to support the successfulimplementation of technology. You'll develop and coordinate change managementactivities that help our people understand, adopt and embrace new systems,processes and ways of working.

• Degree-level qualifications inInformation Technology, Change Management, Project Management or a relateddiscipline, and/or relevant experience driving change within a complexorganisation
  
• Experience supporting change initiativesassociated with software implementations or technology projects
  
• Demonstrated ability to workindependently and deliver customer-focused outcomes
  
• Experience managing competing prioritiesand multiple project deliverables
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solvingskills
  
• Excellent written, verbal andinterpersonal communication skills
  
• The ability to challenge existingpractices and identify opportunities for improvement
  
• Knowledge and experience applyingrecognised change management methodologies and frameworks

• Competitive salary from $105,134 to$122,182 per year + 12% superannuation
