Job summary

Mission Australia is seeking a Change Manager in Sydney to lead people-side change for major projects and transformations. You will partner with leaders to design strategies, build readiness, and embed new ways of working across teams.

You’ll coach leaders, identify learning needs, and manage risks while aligning change activities with project plans and governance to deliver lasting benefits for the organisation and the communities we serve.

Qualifications

• At least five years of demonstrated experience in change management.
• End-to-end change management capability including impact assessments, planning, communications, and benefits realization.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent change initiatives with quality and momentum.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; translate complex change into clear messages.
• Knowledge of modern change and project methodologies; certifications desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end change management strategies and plans that support organisational priorities and successful adoption.
• Assess the impact of change across people, processes and ways of working, tailoring approaches to scale and complexity.
• Partner with leaders and teams to build readiness and shared ownership for change.
• Coach leaders to communicate, champion and embed change within their teams.
• Identify learning needs and coordinate training, tools and resources for adoption.
• Monitor readiness, capacity and change fatigue, addressing risks and barriers.
• Integrate change activities into broader project plans, governance and reporting.
• Measure progress, gather feedback, and refine approaches to strengthen outcomes.
