Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council in Newcastle, NSW, is seeking a Change Specialist to support the successful implementation of technology and business improvement projects. You’ll develop and coordinate change management activities to help our people understand, adopt and embrace new systems, processes and ways of working.

Working with project managers, business analysts and leaders, you’ll identify change impacts, prepare communications and training, and guide teams through transition.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualifications in IT, Change Management, Project Management or related discipline.
• Experience with software or technology change initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building.
• Ability to deliver customer-focused outcomes.
• Experience managing multiple project deliverables.
• Knowledge of change management methodologies.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to challenge practices and drive improvements.
• Strong organisational skills in a project environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate change management across technology and business improvement projects.
• Develop and deliver communication, training and stakeholder plans.
• Assess impacts on people, processes, systems and culture.
• Support project outcomes with project managers and key stakeholders.
