Flick Anticimex in Fyshwick, Canberra, is seeking a Sales & Retention Consultant for our contact centre. The role focuses on converting inquiries, retaining customers and delivering a great customer experience in a busy, target-driven environment.

You’ll handle inbound/outbound calls, provide accurate quotations, close opportunities and work with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer journey. A genuine sales mindset and ability to meet KPIs are essential.

The Opportunity

This isn’t your typical customer service role.

We’re looking for Sales & Retention Consultants who are confident on the phone, comfortable working towards targets and know how to turn a conversation into a positive commercial outcome.

You’ll speak with new and existing Flick customers, understand what they need, recommend the right solution and confidently ask for the sale. You’ll also work with customers who may be considering leaving Flick, taking the time to understand their concerns, overcome objections and find solutions that keep their business with us.

If you enjoy talking to people, love achieving targets and get satisfaction from closing a sale or saving a customer, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Handling inbound and outbound customer calls

• Identifying customer needs and recommending the right Flick services

• Converting enquiries into sales and confirmed bookings

• Providing accurate quotations and confidently closing opportunities

• Speaking with existing customers to support retention and reduce cancellations

• Understanding customer concerns and using effective objection handling

• Identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell appropriate services

• Building rapport and creating positive customer experiences

• Following up leads and opportunities

• Maintaining accurate customer records and account notes

• Working towards individual and team sales, retention and customer experience KPIs

• Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people with a genuine sales and retention mindset.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in sales, retention or a target-driven contact centre

• Confidence speaking with customers over the phone

• Strong sales instincts and the ability to recognise opportunities

• Experience handling objections and difficult customer conversations

• A natural ability to build rapport and understand customer needs

• Motivation to achieve KPIs and performance targets

• Resilience and confidence when dealing with rejection

• Strong communication and listening skills

• Good computer skills and attention to detail

• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Experience within contact centres, telesales, retention, insurance, telecommunications, utilities, finance or other KPI-driven sales environments would be highly regarded.
