Job summary

QBE Insurance Group is seeking a Construction Claims Officer to manage end-to-end material damage, construction and general liability claims across multiple product lines. The role supports the claims philosophy and strategy within the Commercial Property, Construction & Engineering Claims Team.

You will interpret policy wordings, engage loss adjusters and external providers, and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience managing end-to-end property, construction or liability claims.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Efficient management of the end-to-end claims process, with accurate completion and validation of claims.
• Interpret policy coverage and determine applicability, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and resolve claims.
• Conduct settlement negotiations and authorise payments within authority.
• Maintain strong client relationships with insureds, brokers and investigators.
