Job summary

Greenfield Station Bistro in Bankstown, within the Bankstown Sports Club, is seeking a Full-Time Commis Chef to join our busy kitchen team in Sydney. You will work across breakfast, lunch and dinner, supporting senior chefs and gaining hands-on experience across different sections of the kitchen.

You’ll be part of a fast-paced environment, focused on quality and consistency, with opportunities to learn and grow under our experienced culinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen is required.
• Strong cooking and food prep skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Good time management and organisation.
• Knowledge of food safety and kitchen safety standards.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a rotating roster including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, measure, peel, chop and portion ingredients to support smooth service.
• Assist with breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner service prep and cooking.
• Collaborate with Chef de Partie, Sous Chef and kitchen team across prep, cooking, plating and service.
• Ensure dishes are prepared consistently to required standard.
• Maintain clean, organised workstations and follow food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.
• Follow safe food-handling practices and monitor freshness and expiry dates.
• Build experience across kitchen sections and develop cooking skills under senior chefs.
