Job summary

Hand Picked Group is seeking a Commis Chef for Maman Bar & Kitchen on the Gold Coast. You will contribute to a memorable guest experience with creative dishes and precise execution.

You will assist in preparing menus, maintain high food hygiene standards and manage portions. A Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery and at least 3 years' kitchen experience are required, plus the ability to lead a team and work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery.
• Minimum 3 years kitchen experience.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Experience with rostering, ordering and COGS management.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Great attention to detail.
• Positive attitude (MUST).

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes according to customer demand.
• Following, and ensuring the team follows, food hygiene and OHS measures.
• Taking care with portions and waste to ensure profits remain positive.
• Preparing menus in collaboration with management.
• Ensuring adequacy of supplies at the venue.
• Preparing ingredients that should be frequently available.
