Job summary

Wrest Point in Hobart is seeking a casual Commis Chef to join our diverse culinary team, preparing dishes from Tasmania's finest produce and local ingredients across outlets from our upmarket bistro to the Point Revolving Restaurant.

You'll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced kitchen, work rotating shifts including weekends, and contribute to memorable dining experiences while developing your skills within Tasmania's leading hospitality group.

You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills across a variety of dining outlets, from our upmarket bistro through to the iconic Point Revolving Restaurant, gaining exposure to different cuisines, techniques and service styles while building your career with one of Tasmania's leading hospitality groups.

About the Candidate

• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, ideally within a hotel, restaurant or large hospitality venue
• Strong understanding of quality produce, food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
• Passion for creating memorable dining experiences for guests
• Ability to work independently when required while contributing positively to a high-performing team
• Commercial Cookery Certificate III or higher
• Full Australian working rights with availability to work across a rotating roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays
