Wrest Point in Hobart is seeking a casual Commis Chef to join our passionate culinary team. You will prepare dishes using Tasmania's finest produce and learn across outlets from our upscale bistro to the Point Revolving Restaurant. This role offers variety, growth opportunities and a dynamic workplace with stunning river and mountain views.

We value teamwork, high standards and a positive attitude. A Commercial Cookery Certificate III or higher and full Australian working rights are required,

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, ideally in a hotel, restaurant or large venue.
• Strong understanding of quality produce, prep techniques and kitchen operations.
• Passion for creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team.
• Commercial Cookery Certificate III or higher.
• Full Australian working rights with availability to work across rotating roster including weekends, evenings and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a range of dishes using Tasmania's finest produce and freshest local ingredients.
• Work with diverse culinary team across outlets from our upmarket bistro through to the Point Revolving Restaurant.
• Develop your skills across a variety of cuisines, techniques and service styles while building your career.
