Job summary

Complete Recruitment Solutions – Melbourne VIC is seeking a hands-on CNC laser operator for a full-time permanent role. You will manage day-to-day CNC laser operations, assemble switchboards, and interpret drawings while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Applicants must hold a current LF forklift licence and have experience operating power and hand tools. Welding is an advantage, and a commitment to teamwork and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a CNC laser cutter is essential or highly preferred.
• Current LF forklift ticket and driving experience required.
• Reliable, punctual, and a true team player with good communication.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow drawings and specs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate the CNC Laser on a daily basis.
• Assemble switchboards according to drawings and specs.
• Use power and hand tools (drills, grinder, polishing wheel) as needed.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Maintain a LF forklift license and operate forklift when licensed.
• Welding skills are an advantage and may be required in some tasks.
• Keep the workspace tidy and perform general housekeeping.
• Assist other areas of the business as required.

The Role

Working 7am - 5pm Monday to Friday in a permanent role, you will be fully responsible for the day to day operation of the CNC laser (Alpha), and giving clear job completion ETA's and updates.

You'll be assembling switchboards, using power and hand tools, reading drawings, operating a forklift (if licensed) and welding, if you have welding experience.

Each day you will:

• Set and operate the CNC Laser
• Assemble switchboards
• Use power and hand tools - Drills, Grinder, Polishing Wheel
• Read and interpret drawings
• LF Forklift Licence and experience is REQUIRED
• Welding skills - Advantage
• Ensure your workspace is tidy through general housekeeping
• Assist in other areas of the business as needed

Selection Criteria

The successful candidate will possess at a minimum the following experience and attributes:

• Previous experience operating a CNC laser cutter is essential
• Current LF forklift ticket and experience
• You will be reliable, punctual, and a true team player
