Job summary

Unique Metals Laser in Melbourne is seeking a hands-on CNC Laser Operator to join our production team at the Tullamarine facility. This role offers training and ongoing support to help you succeed in a busy, safety‑conscious environment focused on precision cutting and reliable fabrication.

You will operate CNC laser equipment, inspect components to meet quality standards, move materials safely, and assist with general production duties under the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Current Australian forklift licence (essential).
• Good computer skills and ability to follow production instructions.
• Flexibility to work shifts as required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience operating CNC laser or plasma cutting machinery is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Operating CNC laser cutting machinery to produce quality components.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, motivated and hands‑on CNC Laser Operator to join our production team at our Tullamarine facility in Melbourne.

Key responsibilities include:

Operating CNC laser cutting machinery to produce quality components.

Inspecting components to ensure they meet quality requirements.

About You

You are a practical, safety‑conscious team player who takes pride in your work and is keen to develop your skills in a manufacturing environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Experience in a manufacturing environment.

A current Australian forklift licence (essential).

Good computer skills and the ability to follow production instructions.

The flexibility to work shifts as required.

A reliable, honest and hardworking approach.

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Previous experience operating CNC laser or plasma cutting machinery is mandatory. Experience in engineering, metal fabrication or a similar industrial environment will also be highly regarded.

Full training on our machinery will be provided for the right candidate.
