Job summary

Bendtech is seeking a CNC Laser Operator based at Slacks Creek, Brisbane Qld. This role involves setting up Tube & Sheet Laser Machines, loading materials with overhead cranes, and ensuring quality production. Training will be provided for all machines to the right candidate in a dedicated metal fabrication environment.

Ideal applicants will have a forklift licence, the ability to read technical drawings, and experience with laser machinery or metal fabrication. Australian work rights required.

Qualifications

• Forklift LF Licence is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening.
• Current Australian work rights or valid work visa.
• Experience operating laser machinery or similar is preferred.
• Strong grasp of metal fabrication techniques and machine maintenance.
• Experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication environments is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specs with confidence.
• Basic computer skills for CNC controls and production software.
• Team spirit, time management and good communication skills.
• Experience operating overhead cranes safely.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Tube & Sheet Laser Machines to meet job specs and production targets.
• Load and unload materials using Overhead cranes.
• Monitor operations, troubleshoot issues and keep production running smoothly.
• Conduct routine maintenance and keep machines in top condition.
• Collaborate with team to drive production excellence.
• Inspect final products to ensure top-quality results.
• Maintain accurate production records and a tidy, safe workspace.
• Sort and check off parts and perform parts clean-up and sanding.
• Control sheet metal stock and consumables.
• Load/unload trucks as required.
• Full training will be provided on our Laser machines.

• Parts clean-up and Sanding.

• Controlling sheet metal stock and consumables.

What You Will Bring
