Job summary

Allplates on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced CNC Laser Operator for their Molendinar workshop. You will set and run CNC laser equipment, ensuring high-quality component production for diverse industries.

The ideal candidate will read engineering drawings, follow SOPs, and maintain safety and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with opportunities for overtime and professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC laser or other CNC machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and SOPs.
• Understanding of quality requirements and precision measuring equipment.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Reliable, punctual and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Due to continued growth and strong customer demand, we have exciting opportunities for experienced CNC Laser Operators to join our team at our modern engineering workshop in Molendinar.

You’ll be working with industry-leading Trumpf and Amada equipment, producing high-quality precision components for a diverse range of customers and industries.

About the Role

Working as part of our production team, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery to ensure production targets, quality standards and customer requirements are consistently achieved.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Setting and operating CNC laser machinery in accordance with daily production schedules
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and Standard Operating Procedures
• Conducting quality checks and using precision measuring equipment
• Using hand tools including grinders and orbital sanders
• Ensuring products meet required quality specifications
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Working collaboratively with the production team to achieve daily targets

About You

We are looking for reliable and motivated people who take pride in producing quality work and have a genuine interest in CNC manufacturing.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience operating CNC laser or other CNC machinery
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Standard Operating Procedures
• An understanding of quality requirements and precision measuring equipment
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• A reliable, punctual and positive approach to work
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• A willingness to learn and develop your skills
• A current forklift licence would be highly regarded
• Experience with Trumpf or Amada machinery, CNC laser, folding or punching will be highly regarded
