The Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) manages the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), one of Australia’s most recognised venues. The MCG hosts more than 70 major events each year and welcomes over three million patrons and visitors.

Our purpose is to move Australia through the transformative power of live sport, entertainment and culture. Our values underpin how we operate and what we stand for as an organisation. These include playing as a team, striving to inspire, and showing respect always.

The Club Services, Sports & Heritage department is responsible for providing high-quality service to approximately 165,000 Melbourne Cricket Club members, as well as patrons of the MCG. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a limited number of Casual MCC Club Services Representatives for casual event day and weekday work within the Membership team.

In this role you will provide accurate, timely and high-quality service to MCC members during the week and on match days. This includes assisting with and resolving member and guest enquiries in person at Membership Services, as well as via email, web messaging and phone.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in the delivery of exceptional customer service, with preferable experience with ticketing systems and Microsoft Dynamics 365. This role would require excellent verbal communication skills, a friendly and welcoming manner with high attention to detail.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • A welcoming and professional approach when supporting members and guests
  • The ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of people
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple enquiries
  • The ability to identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions

This role is well suited to individuals who enjoy supporting people and contributing to a positive member experience.

This role requires a level of flexibility where you will be required to be available for event day duties on weeknights, public holidays and weekends, as well as the ability to work throughout the week, so it is important you are reliable to commit to roster.
