Job summary

Delaware North Australia & New Zealand is hiring a full-time Functions Set-up Supervisor to join our team at the iconic MCG. You will report to the Set-up Manager, work with functions, sales and operations teams, and drive guest service at Melbourne's premier sports and entertainment venue.

Key duties include coordinating setup, arranging dining spaces and venues, inspecting readiness, and managing timelines to ensure events run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in functions supervision.
• Experience in events is beneficial.
• Strong skills in computer literacy, communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work varied hours and days, including public holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise event setup, service, and pack-down activities.
• Set up dining areas, cafés, meeting rooms, conference spaces, banquet halls, and event venues according to client requirements.
• Ensure tables, chairs, linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware, buffet stations, coffee stations, and service areas are correctly arranged.
• Conduct pre-event inspections to ensure venue presentation and operational readiness.
• Manage event timelines and ensure all activities run according to schedule.

Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Functions Set-up Supervisor to join our team at the iconic MCG. As the Functions Set-Up Supervisor, you will be reporting in the Set-up Manager and working closely with the functions, sales, and operations teams, including kitchens. You will be driving exceptional guest service in this thriving sporting and entertainment venue and have an articulate attention to detail.
