Job summary

Arcare Aged Care on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a dedicated cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents. You will perform cleaning, disinfection, waste management and stock duties within a supportive team.

Your responsibilities include following infection control procedures, using PPE, and ensuring supplies remain stocked for residents and staff. This role runs Monday to Friday with 8am–2pm shifts and offers great benefits and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms and other facility areas.
• Dispose of waste in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Follow infection control procedures and use PPE as required.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums.

Your responsibilities involve maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our residents.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.
