Job summary

Arcare Aged Care in Knox, Victoria, is recruiting a dedicated cleaner for our brand-new residence opening December 2026. Join a supportive team and contribute to a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents.

You will disinfect rooms, manage waste, follow infection control procedures, stock supplies, and operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums. Applicants must have Australian working rights and be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Qualifications

• Friendly and clear communication with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and PPE.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure cleaning and hygiene supplies are stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Use floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.

Your responsibilities involve maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our residents.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.
