Job summary

Arcare Aged Care is hiring a cleaner to join our VIC facility. You will disinfect resident rooms, manage waste and stock supplies while following strict infection control procedures.

Use of cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums is required, and you will work as part of a supportive team to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents. Applicants must have Australian Working Rights and be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and disinfecting resident rooms, common areas and bathrooms.
• Waste management and proper disposal of waste per safety guidelines.
• Infection control procedures including use of PPE.
• Stocking cleaning and hygiene supplies for residents and staff.
• Use of floor scrubbers, vacuums and cleaning consumables.

About The Role

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.
