Job summary

Arcare Aged Care in Brisbane is seeking a casual cleaner to maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for residents. The role offers an excellent hourly rate with superannuation and shift penalties where applicable, within a supportive team and modern facilities.

You will be responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, waste management, infection control, stocking supplies and operating cleaning equipment across the facility.

Qualifications

• Australian working rights
• Willing to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Ability to work in a team

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms and other areas.
• Dispose of waste including medical waste in accordance with guidelines and safety protocols.
• Follow infection control procedures and use PPE to prevent infection spread.
• Ensure cleaning and hygiene supplies are stocked for residents and staff.
• Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.

Your responsibilities involve maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our residents.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.
