Job summary

Arcare is seeking compassionate staff to join our Brisbane-based team in various cleaning and laundry shifts. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our residents, while working within a supportive team.

The role offers above award rates, a positive workplace culture, and opportunities for professional development, with uniform, meal and shift allowances. Australian Working Rights required and NDIS Worker Screening Check preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.

Hourly Rate Range $27.91 - $30.52 + Super + Shift Penalties (where applicable)
