Arcare is seeking dedicated cleaners to join our Queensland team. You will maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents, supporting a compassionate aged-care community.

Roles include room and area cleaning, waste disposal, PPE-driven infection control, and stocking supplies. Training and job security accompany above-award rates and shift allowances.

Job description

Hourly Rate Range $27.91 - $30.52 + Super + Shift Penalties (where applicable)

Your responsibilities involve maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our residents.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.
