Job summary

Arcare Oatlands is seeking a casual cleaner to help maintain a safe, hygienic environment for our residents. A variety of shifts are available to support work-life balance and reliable coverage.

Your duties include cleaning resident rooms and common areas, waste disposal, infection control, stocking supplies, and operating floor scrubbers and vacuums. We value adaptability, teamwork and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms and other areas throughout the facility.

• Stock cleaning and hygiene supplies for residents and staff.
• Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums and cleaning trolleys.

About the Role

Your responsibilities involve maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our residents.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.
