St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba – Melbourne VIC is seeking an experienced Language Services leader to manage the department on a fixed-term, part-time basis. You will supervise interpreters, casual staff, and booking clerks, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered interpreting and translation across SVHM.

The role focuses on implementing the Primaxis IMS, driving service improvement, and leading a team within a supportive healthcare environment. Salary is pro rata for part-time.

Competenze

• Current NAATI Certification is required.
• Experience leading a Language Services or Interpreter Services function.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and change management skills.

Mansioni

• Provide operational leadership and day-to-day management of the Language Services Department.
• Lead and support in-house interpreters, casual staff and booking clerks, coordinating external interpreter agencies and services.
• Oversee implementation of the Primaxis Interpreter Management System (IMS) and embedding new processes.
• Ensure delivery of timely, patient‑centred interpreting and translation services across SVHM.
• Support quality improvement projects and service initiatives within Language Services.
• Monitor service delivery and identify opportunities to improve processes and patient experience.
