St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, part of St Vincent’s Health Australia, is seeking an experienced Language Services leader for a fixed-term, part-time role. You will oversee interpreters, booking clerks and agency staff while steering the Primaxis IMS implementation to embed new processes and improve service delivery.

The role focuses on operational leadership, service improvement and project delivery within a supportive healthcare environment, with pro rata salary and flexible working

Competenze

• Current NAATI Certification.
• Demonstrated experience leading Language Services/Interpreter Services.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience in service improvement, project implementation and/or change management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment.
• Current National Criminal History Check.

Mansioni

• Provide operational leadership and day-to-day management of the Language Services Department.
• Lead and support in-house interpreters, casual staff, booking clerks, and coordinate external agencies.
• Lead and support the implementation of the Primaxis Interpreter Management System (IMS).
• Ensure timely, effective and patient-centred interpreting and translation services across SVHM.
• Support quality improvement initiatives within Language Services.
• Monitor service delivery and identify opportunities to improve processes and patient experience.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and stakeholders.
