Discovery Parks in the Northern Territory is seeking a Chef to lead a busy commercial kitchen, ensuring efficient, cost-effective food service and smooth daily operations. You will manage stock, supervise kitchen staff, and create high-quality dishes that delight guests.

Experience with HACCP, dietary requirements, and a trade qualification in commercial cooking are essential. Accommodation and meals are provided as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent experience.
• Experience with electronic purchase ordering and cost management.
• Proven ability to plan and develop menus.
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
• Current First Aid Certificate is highly desirable.
• HACCP experience with emphasis on food hygiene.

Responsabilités

• Food preparation and presentation.
• Adhere to HSE policies, procedures and safe food handling practices.
• Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, special requests).
• Management of stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking.
• Maintaining a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils.
• Create dishes of high quality that nourish and delight guests.
• Fast, effective service with a smile.
• Assist in overseeing all kitchen employees, including training and performance development.
