Job summary

G’day Group is seeking a seasoned Chef to lead a busy commercial kitchen, delivering quality meals with cost awareness across our Australian parks. You’ll supervise prep, presentation, ordering, stock rotation and HACCP compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous Chef experience in a similar environment.
• Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent experience.
• Experience with electronic purchasing and cost management.
• Experience in planning and developing menus.
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
• Ability to prep and organise ahead.
• Current First Aid Certificate is desirable.
• HACCP experience and strong food hygiene practices.
• Current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and presentation
• Adhere to all HSE policies, procedures & safe food handling practices
• Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, special requests)
• Management of stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking
• Maintaining a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils
• Create dishes of high quality that nourish and delight guests
• Fast, effective service provided with a smile
• Assist in overseeing all kitchen employees, including training and performance development
