Job summary

Discovery Parks Wilpena Pound Resort in SA is seeking a hands-on Chef to lead a busy commercial kitchen. You will manage breakfast and dinner shifts, deliver à la carte dining and breakfast buffet service, and ensure consistent guest satisfaction.

You will oversee kitchen staff, support training and development, and work closely with front-of-house to ensure smooth daily service. HACCP experience and a current driver's license are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Previous Chef experience in similar environment.
• Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent.
• Proven experience in cost management and menu planning.
• HACCP experience and strong food hygiene.
• Current First Aid certificate desirable.
• Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and cost-effective food service in a commercial kitchen.
• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations across breakfast and dinner shifts.
• Train and develop kitchen staff; ensure dietary and quality standards.
• Coordinate with front-of-house for smooth daily service and guest experience.
