Job summary

Discovery Parks seeks an experienced Chef for the Adelaide Hills Convention Centre. You will lead a busy commercial kitchen with split shifts for breakfast and dinner, delivering alacarte and buffet dining with strong guest focus.

You will oversee kitchen staff, train team members, develop menus, and liaise with front-of-house to ensure smooth daily service while maintaining high standards and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous chef experience in a similar environment.
• Formal trade qualification in commercial cooking.
• Experience with electronic purchase ordering and cost management.
• Ability to plan and develop menus.
• HACCP experience and strong food hygiene.
• Current driver’s license.
• First Aid certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen staff, including training and performance development.
• Ensure consistent high-quality food preparation and presentation.
• Prepare alacarte dining and breakfast buffet for guests and manage function catering.
