Job summary

Pegasus Leisure Group is seeking an experienced Casual Chef de Partie to join Steeples in Mornington on the Mornington Peninsula. You will run your section, push consistently high-quality dishes and uphold food-safety standards in a busy, dynamic kitchen.

Qualifications

Professional kitchen role with emphasis on consistency and quality.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance is essential.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
Experience in high-volume kitchens or busy bistros is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes according to menu specifications.
Own your allocated section and ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Collaborate with Sous Chef and Head Chef to maintain a consistent dining experience.
Assist with stock rotation, storage and receiving deliveries.
Maintain food safety, cleanliness and kitchen presentation standards.
Attend to dietary requirements and special requests accurately.
Mentor junior kitchen team members as needed.
Minimise waste and keep the kitchen organised and efficient.
