Pegasus Leisure Group seeks an experienced Casual Chef de Partie to join the Golden Fleece Hotel kitchen in Melton. You will run your section, deliver high-quality dishes, and uphold food safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Work alongside a skilled team, support sous and head chefs, manage stock and waste, and help maintain a dynamic, guest-focused dining experience. Eligible for development and growth within PLG network.

Competenze

• Strong cooking skills and confidence across a variety of cooking techniques.
• Passion for producing quality food and delivering consistent results.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance requirements.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• At least 2 years' experience in a professional kitchen.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
• Current Food Safely and Food Allergens Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in a high-volume kitchen or bistro environment will be highly regarded.

• Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes in line with menu specifications.
• Taking ownership of your allocated section and ensuring smooth service during busy periods.
• Working closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to deliver a consistent, high-quality dining experience.
• Assisting with stock rotation, food storage and receiving deliveries.
• Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness and kitchen presentation.
• Ensuring dietary requirements and special requests are prepared accurately.
• Supporting and mentoring junior kitchen team members where required.
• Helping to minimise waste and maintain an organised, efficient kitchen.
