Job summary

Pinpoint Talent is seeking an EL1 Change Manager to coordinate change initiatives for a Australian federal government agency. This Canberra-based role focuses on the people side of change, including processes, tools, job roles and organisation structures.

The position supports a 12-month initial contract with flexible hybrid options and potential for extension. Australian citizenship and NV1 security clearance are required, with occasional travel to Canberra for onboarding and onsite work.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders in planning, developing and executing change initiatives.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive change management and communication strategies.
  • Develop change management plans based on business demand and implications, including communications, trainings, stakeholder engagement, and impact analysis.
  • Develop training delivery to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate project plans and identify change initiatives required for successful execution.
  • Deliver risk treatment plans to mitigate business risks and concerns.
  • Perform change readiness assessments and present results to business units.
  • Monitor and report readiness, adoption, benefits realisation and utilisation of initiatives.
  • Provide information and assistance to business units through multiple channels.

12-month initial contract | Canberra or remote location | Federal Government

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an EL1 Change Manager to work within a federal government agency, to coordinate activities and communication in order to ensure project objectives are met and sustained. This role will focus on the people aspect of change including changes to business processes, tools and technology, job roles and organisation structures.

Key Duties
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders in planning, developing and executing change initiatives
  • Develop and implement comprehensive change management and communication strategies
  • Develop change management plans based on business demand, challenges and implications, including communications, trainings, stakeholder engagement, and impact analysis
  • Develop training and delivery to stakeholders
  • Evaluate project plans and identify change initiatives required for successful project execution
  • Deliver specific risk treatment plan to mitigate business risks and concerns
  • Perform change readiness assessment to determine feasibility of implementation and present the results to business units
  • Monitor and report the business readiness, adoption, benefits realisation and utilisation of change initiatives
  • Provide information and assistance to business units in executing the change initiatives through a variety of channels
Essential criteria
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of change and communication management plans for projects and other change initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in defining, developing, and communicating the change management approach for a significant organisational change.
  • Demonstrated experience in an organisational change management role working within either a PRINCE2 and/or Agile framework and within an IT environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Demonstrated flexibility, problem solving and stakeholder engagement skills

Please note that you must be an Australian citizen to be considered for this opportunity as the role will require an NV1 security clearance.

This is a contract opportunity for an initial 12-month period, with the potential for further extensions, and is based in the Canberra office, with flexible hybrid working options. The client may also consider remote working from other locations, however travel to Canberra may be required for onboarding or onsite work on occasion.
