Northern Beaches Hospital, operated by Northern Sydney Local Health District, is seeking a casual Telephonist Level 2 to be the first point of contact for our callers. The role covers shift work across a 24-hour roster with a friendly, professional service standard.

You will answer calls, perform routine clerical duties, and support emergency communications while delivering courteous service to patients, visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated switchboard experience.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Computer literacy and accurate keyboard/data entry.
• Demonstrate a flexible work attitude and ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsabilités

• Operate hospital switchboard.
• Answer incoming and outgoing calls.
• Deliver polite, clear, well-spoken and calm assistance in all circumstances.
• Contact staff and emergency groups for code calls e.g. cardiac arrest and trauma groups.
• Perform routine clerical duties as required by the Manager.
• Provide an effective, efficient, timely and courteous service to patients, visitors, the public and staff who interact with the switchboard.
