Minor Hotels is seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team on a casual basis at AVANI Cypress Lakes Resorts. You will prepare ingredients, cook a variety of dishes, and ensure high-quality plating to delight guests.

Responsibilities include maintaining food storage, safety, and hygiene standards, keeping the kitchen clean and organised, and supporting colleagues across breakfast and dinner shifts. Immediate start available and rotating rosters.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking and plating of meals.
• Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
• Ensure excellent presentation of meals before service.
• Maintain proper food storage, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with WHS requirements.
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.
