Job summary

Minor Hotels is seeking a passionate Commis Chef for Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort on a casual basis. You will support the kitchen team in preparing and presenting dishes, ensuring quality and smooth service across shifts.

The role requires a Certificate III in Cookery, knowledge of Modern Australian cuisine, HACCP and OH&S awareness, and flexibility to work weekends. This is a casual on-site position within Australia.

Qualifications

• Relevant Certificate III in Cookery and previous experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Modern Australian Cuisine.
• Understanding of HACCP and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of dishes across all sections of the kitchen.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Take initiative to develop culinary skills and grow within a professional kitchen environment.
• Support less experienced team members when required.
