Minor Hotels’ Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort in NSW is seeking a passionate Commis Chef to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. You will support the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes across all sections, work with the team to ensure smooth service, and uphold food safety standards in a dynamic resort environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Cookery, have knowledge of Modern Australian cuisine, HACCP and OH&S requirements, and are flexible to work breakfast,

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Cookery completed and relevant experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Modern Australian cuisine and HACCP practices.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic kitchen environment.
• Flexibility to work across weekends and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of dishes across all kitchen sections.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety standards.
• Develop culinary skills and support junior team members.
• Support less experienced staff when required.
