Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Case Coordinator for the National Immigration Support Service (NISS) in Dandenong, VIC. You will provide intake, assessment, and timely triage support to asylum seekers and refugees.

Work with clients to prepare SRSS applications, arrange referrals, and maintain accurate records using trauma-informed, culturally responsive approaches that build trust and pathways to support.

Qualifications

• Qualification in a Human Services field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with client intake and case coordination.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments across finances, housing, health, and social needs.
• Experience supporting clients with complex physical and mental health issues.
• Experience serving culturally and linguistically diverse clients.
• Multilingual communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments to determine eligibility and immediate needs.
• Assist clients with SRSS applications accurately and timely.
• Refer clients to community supports to create holistic pathways.
• Maintain safe records and conduct risk assessments.
• Build trust-based relationships using trauma-informed approaches.
• Engage with stakeholders and represent the program in the community.
• Deliver information sessions to external organisations about NISS supports and referral pathways.
