Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Senior Case Manager for the National Immigration Support Service (NISS) to deliver intensive case management for asylum seekers and refugees. You will coordinate complex support plans, promote trauma-informed practices, and mentor Case Coordinators and Cultural Support workers.

The role is permanent full-time (38 hours weekly) with hybrid work options (office or home) in Milton or Springwood.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Social Work, social sciences, psychology, nursing or mental health or a related field and working toward a degree.
• Experience in case planning/outcomes with asylum seekers with complex needs including trauma and mental health.
• Ability to build positive relationships with clients through engagement and strength-based practice.
• Experience leading/mentoring teams and providing staff training.
• Knowledge of regulatory environment for NISS programs.
• Experience with trauma-informed case plans and culturally appropriate practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive case management support to complex asylum seekers and families in the NISS program.
• Guide, mentor and train Case Coordinators and Cultural Support workers.
• Deliver evidence-based services and promote respectful, purposeful casework.
